ABOUT 42 MAPLE ART PODCASTS
42 Maple Contemporary Art Center was born in 2014 and quickly became a leading art center in its region. Showcasing artists on a monthly cycle in the main gallery, student artists in Lost Dog Salon mini gallery, and providing working studio spaces for a handful of local artists, 42 Maple is also a community center with performance and teaching space.
Housed in a historic church, circa 1877, this Northern New Hampshire arts facility won a Best of NH award in 2017 for Best Maker Space and has hosted several thematic group shows, calls for art, and fundraisers for such worthy recipients as honeybees, shelter animals, and breast cancer survivors.
Over the span of the first five years, it became readily apparent that each artist, maker, and creative that walks through the doors of 42 Maple has a unique story to tell. Some stories are about inspiration, some are about frustration, the making process, heartache, and joy. Through all of the stories, we hope to somehow be able to define the word “art”.
